In 2009, the Village acquired the NOW Arena (formerly Sears Centre Arena) through a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure process. The Village hired Spectra Venue Management (formerly Global Spectrum), headquartered in Philadelphia, to manage the day-to-day operations of the Arena, as well as to book entertainment and sporting events. Spectra Venue Management has long established ties with entertainment promoters and operates over three dozen indoor arenas across the country. In the first year of operating and managing the Arena, Spectra Venue Management achieved the highest event revenue ever, while significantly reducing costs for the best bottom line since the Arena opened in 2006. Spectra Venue Management employs 20+ personnel at the Arena, with Ben Gibbs as the General Manager.

The Village also hired Levy Food Service (headquartered in Chicago) to provide food and beverage service at the Arena. Levy is known nationally as a high-quality food and beverage provider to indoor and outdoor concert, entertainment and sports venues.
