The Forestry and Grounds Division provides maintenance and care of approximately (17,000) Village owned trees and (150) acres of turf.

Selected 2023 Accomplishments
- The division was awarded Tree City USA recognition for the 31st consecutive year.
- The Village continued the tradition of bringing over one hundred 3rd grade students together to celebrate Arbor Day.
- Over (361) requests for tree maintenance and tree removals from residents and in-house staff were processed. Requested services included corrective trimming, removal, inspection treatment for insects and disease, and providing information to inquiring residents.
- Over (193) parkway trees required removal for the year.
- As a result of in-house requests and the Village's contractor assisted tree trimming program, over (1,700) Village owned trees were trimmed.
- Over (160) new tree plantings occurred in conjunction with various tree planting programs.
- The Village's two seasonal brush pick-up programs resulted in the pick-up of 3,800 brush piles.
- Continuation of collection, updating records and assessment of Village owned trees.
- Continuation of training for (5) Departmental Staff Arborists to maintain their certifications.
- Planned and performed oversight of the landscaping refurbishment of the landscaping at the NOW Arena.
