The Village Manager is responsible for implementing the policies and direction of the Village President and Board of Trustees.  Under the council-manager form of government, he is the chief administrative officer for the Village and exercises management responsibility over all operational departments and staff.  The Village Manager is responsible for attending all meetings of the Village Board and presenting an annual budget and capital improvement plan.  

About the Village Manager

The Village Manager for the Village of Hoffman Estates is Eric Palm.  Mr. Palm started his tenure with the Village in February 2021.  Prior to Hoffman Estates, Eric Palm served as the Village Administrator for the Village of River Forest for ten years.  He was also the first Village Administator for the Village of Hampshire from 2007-2010.  Mr. Palm holds a Masters in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
