WATER
The Public Works water division oversees the supply, distribution, and quality assurance of water within the Village, ensuring that the system meets or exceeds all federal and state of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency standards. Water is supplied from Lake Michigan and treated by the city of Chicago, and is delivered to the Village via the Northwest Suburban Joint Action Water Agency System (JAWA) system.

SEWER
The municipal sewer system is maintained by the Village of Hoffman Estates. Sewerage is conveyed and treated to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
GARBAGE AND RECYCLING
The Village of Hoffman Estates has a franchise agreement for residential solid waste and recycling services with Groot Recycling and Waste Services, Inc. Click here for more information on the residential program.
