The Village of Hoffman Estates abides by the Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968) and upholds the right to equal opportunity and non-discriminatory housing practices. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires that the Village takes steps to affirmatively further fair housing. Please find a list of resources below:
The Illinois Department of Human Rights has information about discriminatory housing practices and how to file a claim for investigation. You may also call 312-814-6229 to connect with the Fair Housing Intake Investigator.

The Village has assembled an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing and is currently addressing ways to reduce fair housing concerns. For more information about the analysis, please contact planning@hoffmanestates.org.
