Solar Power Hour

Join the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) and Hoffman Estates Sustainability Commission for a free presentation on solar energy and its benefits on Saturday, April 20 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. During this event, a CUB expert will explain solar programs and incentives, why clean energy is more affordable and reliable, and how policies like the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act impact consumers.

A Hoffman Estates Building Official will also be available to answer questions about he permitting and inspection process for solar panel installations in the Village. Light refreshments will be provided. Please email grow2green@vohe.org for additional details.

Electronics Recycling Drop-off

The seasonal electronics recycling drop-off program provides an opportunity for residents to properly dispose of household electronics at a convenient location each Monday (excluding holidays) from April through mid-November.

In 2024, this program begins April 1st and concludes November 11th at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

Annual Recycling Extravaganza

The annual recycling and shredding event will be held on Saturday, August 24th at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Rd., from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. At this event, the Village accepts a variety of items for proper disposal, typically including electronics, light bulbs, batteries, oil-based paint, textiles, and documents for shredding.
