Illinois Energy Conservation Code for Commercial Buildings - The IECC for Commercial Buildings requires compliance with the Code for all permitted work, and the Village abides by all regulations. Please contact the Village's Code department at 847-781-2631 with questions.

Building a LEED Structure - The U.S. Green Building Council oversees a third-party certification program called Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED). The Village's Police Department and Fire Station 24 have achieved LEED certification, and many Hoffman Estates businesses are certified LEED as well.
