Neptune 360 Water Meters

In February 2020, the Village began a village-wide water meter replacement program that required all residential and commercial water meters to be replaced. 

These new meters allow the Village to use modern meter reading technology that no longer requires drive-by meter readings. Installation of an automated meter reading system, combined with new ultrasonic meters, has greatly improved the Village’s water distribution system. These meters are highly accurate for the entirety of their 20-year life expectancy. The meters have the ability to provide on-demand readings, as well as leak alerts, which makes early identification of leaks much more likely than with traditional meters and a drive-by reading system.
