The Hoffman Estates Police Department Public Safety Cadet Unit 806 is accepting new recruits at our annual open house.

September 21, 2022 at 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

If you…

• Are between the ages of 14 and 20 years old (14 years old is acceptable only if you have graduated from eighth grade).
• Have good moral character.
• Maintain a "C" average (70%) or higher.
• Do not have any serious police records of excessive moving violations.
• Are able to attend bi-weekly meetings … Wednesday 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Are willing to volunteer you time to attend functions.
• Are willing to commit to the Code and exemplify the professional image of the Hoffman Estates Police Department.

This program is for you! Cadets train in a variety of police-related skills, such as traffic accident investigations, domestics, crime scenes, and building searches and participate in a ride along mentor program. They participate in community events such as the Northwest Fourth Fest and The Arboretum of South Barrington concerts performing traffic control and crowd control procedures.
