Why You Should Try the Citizens Fire Academy 

Does the thought of scaling a 100 foot ladder excite you?  Would you like to use the “Jaws of Life” to cut a patient out of a car? Does the prospect of leading a fire company into a burning building get your pulse racing?  If so, then the Hoffman Estates Fire Department would like to invite you to our 2024 Citizens Fire Academy. 

The Citizens Fire Academy is an opportunity for the residents of the Village to experience, and learn about the inner workings of their fire department.  Not only will you get the chance to participate in the exciting opportunities listed above, but you will also learn valuable lessons regarding home fire safety, CPR, and the history of the Hoffman Estates Fire Department in a fun and relaxed environment.

Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Fire Station 24, 5775 Beacon Point Drive. The academy starts on March 6 and will end with graduation on May 20.
