Members of the HMOs of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) have their vision benefits administered by EyeMed Vision Care*, a leading national provider of routine vision care programs.

All HMO members and their covered dependent are eligible to receive an eye examination every 12 months for the cost of your wellness services copayment. Also, coverage for one contact lens examination and fitting every 12 months when performed on the same day as your eye examination. Additionally, discounts on frames, lenses and contact lenses are included.

To access your benefits and to receive discounts on eyewear, members visit one of the many in-network EyeMed Vision Care providers. For a list of EyeMed providers, visit eyemedvisioncare.com/bcbsil  and use their Enhanced Provider Search tool to find a provider (be sure to indicate the Select network if requested), or call the EyeMed Customer Care Center at 1-844-684-2254.

Simply present your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois member ID card. No referral is necessary and there is no limit to the number of times they can receive discounts on purchases. Many locations have convenient and weekend hours.
