This special exhibit will feature two contrasts of the Civil War. The elegance of women’s clothing and the courage of the men who served.

Ainsley Brook Wonderling, Museum Director of the Lakes Region Historical Society, will display antique dresses from her collection.

Re-enactors of the 8th Regiment of the Illinois volunteer Cavalry will be in uniform to portray and explain the role of the Cavalry during the Civil War.
