The Youth Commission is pleased to offer a free "Project Alice" computer animation training class for children of Hoffman Estates residents ages seven to 12 (beginner level). The session will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., only. Class is held at the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Registration is required as space is limited to 10 students. To reserve a spot, call 847-781-2606. A parent or guardian is required throughout the duration of the class. Light refreshments will be served. Project Alice was created at Carnegie Mellon University to easily teach basic programming concepts to young children in a fun way. More information of Project Alice can be found at www.alice.org.
