Public Works Open House
Check out the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the water flowing, roads cleared of snow and street lights working in Hoffman Estates. The 15th annual Public Works Open House will be held at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave., on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Schools and scout troops, as well as all other children and adults, are welcome. Enjoy light refreshments, along with close-up views of snow removal equipment, including large plows, loaders and an aerial lift truck.
