In celebration of Black History Month, the Arts Commission is proud to present a dramatic portrayal of Harriet Beecher Stowe by Joyce Huggins. The program, titled "In Her Own Time," tells the story of the revered American abolitionist and author of the novel, "Uncle Tom's Cabin." Learn about Beecher Stowe's struggles and triumphs, as well as what life was like during the pre-Civil War era. It will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. There is no cost to attend, and light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
