Schaumburg Township Clerk Timothy M. Heneghan and the Township Board of Trustees are sponsoring an interactive Community Wellness Fair at Schaumburg Township, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates. The event is free and open to the public to showcase services that are available in the community.
LifeSource will host a blood drive, and free screenings for blood glucose, cholesterol, hearing, blood pressure and spinal health will be offered. Reservations are needed for both the cholesterol screening and to donate blood. Call 847-884-0030 to make your reservation. Flu immunizations will be available for $20, or free for persons with proof of Medicare Part D. Other services provided include U.S. passport services and voter registration.
Disposal of electronic waste products (except for TVs), used sharps and medications is offered for free. Other activities include raffle prizes, various food samples from Panera Bread, Oberweis and Whole Foods, and an exercise demonstration by Campanelli YMCA. Additional exhibitors include the Cook County Sheriff's Office, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Kenneth Young Center, Schaumburg Township Library and much more.
