Food & Wine Event to Benefit Adults with Disabilities

Sponsored by Clearbrook

Fill Up Your Glass for Clearbrook

Toast to a good time for a great cause at this year's friends wine tasting fundraiser!

WHAT: There is always a reason to celebrate when it comes to wine! This Feb. 18, Clearbrook gives further reason to get festive with their wine tasting event. Bringing a Latin-fusion flare to the heart of Chicago's northwest suburbs, the wine tasting will be an unforgettable evening complete with live entertainment, Latin-themed bites and a host of top tasting wines. With 60-plus varieties to be served, more than 350 guests will discover their new favorites, while dancing and mingling with all in attendance. To spice up their evening, guests can venture to the Latin Lounge, featuring a specialty Peruvian cocktail -- pisco sour -- and beer tasting. Attendees should also be sure to purchase raffle tickets for their chance to win a sun-filled vacation for two to Puerto Vallarta (courtesy of DreamTrips Life).

WHO: Clearbrook welcomes wine connoisseurs, novices and all those who enjoy indulging in a glass for a great cause.

WHY: Funding has never been more at risk than now for programs and services offering support to local youth and adults with developmental disabilities. Most are funded primarily through the state, but also receive private donations, which, as you'd guess, have been steadily diminishing. These forces have created the need for local service providers to get as creative as possible with their fundraising efforts. The Clearbrook wine tasting event is a creative way to make a difference in the lives of people with special needs by doing something unique, fun and social. Funds raised through this event are put directly towards Clearbrook's employment services training program.

COST: $100 (per person) for the event. Raffle tickets are one for $20, three for $50 and seven for $100. Visit www.clearbrook.org, and click on the "Events" tab to purchase tickets in advance.

WHERE: Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre, 2401 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
