Theater returns to Hoffman Estates!

Join the Hoffman Estates Arts Commission at the Vogelei Park Barn as they welcome TesserAct Theatre Ensemble and their staged reading of the play "The Lutwidge Canvass."

This zany mystery, written by playwright David Alex of Chicago, takes place in 1939. Follow the adventures of Duncan Lutwidge, a brilliant professor of mathematical logic, and his lovely and witty wife, Alice, as they attempt to solve a murder. See if you can keep up with the quick verbal repartee between Duncan and Alice, and sort out the clues left by a menagerie of characters including a Russian spy, crusty police officers, a colorful art expert and the FBI. The reading will be staged coffee-house style with action taking place in and around the audience at times.
