An eight-week Anger Management Group for adults over the age of 18 will be offered on Thursday nights, Aug. 11 through Oct. 6, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. by Spectrum Youth and Family Services at the Schaumburg Township Hall, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

The group is open to residents of Schaumburg Township. There is a charge of $10 per session, or $70 for eight sessions if full payment is made in advance.

Through guided discussion in an atmosphere of mutual support, the sessions will cover topics such as anger triggers, myths about anger, techniques to increase one's personal awareness regarding their own anger, the anger cycle, responses to anger and how to develop an anger control plan.

The group will be led by Angela Lacalamita, L.C.P.C, a licensed, clinical professional counselor on Spectrum's staff.
