The Celebrations and Sister Cities Commissions, in conjunction with the Schaumburg Township District Library, invite you to attend a showing of the French film, "Tell No One" ("Ne le dis à personne").
If you enjoy mystery films, "Tell No One" is a must-see. This French thriller tells the story of pediatrician, Alexandre Beck, who still grieves for his beloved wife, Margot, who was murdered eight years earlier. When two bodies are uncovered near where Margot was found, however, the police reopen the case, and Alex becomes a suspect again. The mystery deepens when Alex receives an anonymous e-mail, which contains a link to a video clip that seems to suggest Margot is still alive, as well as a message to "tell no one!" Alex goes on the run, and is now fighting to save his own life. The Los Angeles Times calls "Tell No One" is "a top-notch thriller so twisty you may forget to breathe."
The film is based on a bestselling novel by Harlan Coben. It is directed by Guillaume Canet, and stars Francois Gluzet, Marie-Josee Croze, Kristin Scott Thomas, Andre Dussollier and Francois Berleand.
Dann Gire, film critic with the Daily Herald, will introduce the film, and talk about French cinema. The movie, which runs 125 minutes, will be in French with English subtitles, and is rated PG-13. Some material may be considered unsuitable for children due to language content, so parental guidance is suggested.
In keeping with the movie theme, popcorn and light refreshments will be served. There is no charge for attending the program, but a voluntary donation of nonperishable food items or a monetary donation, benefiting local food pantries, would be appreciated.
