St. Alexius Medical Center and Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village are celebrating National Healthcare Decision Day, which will be held on April 16. The website has templates for all aspects of the event, and can be found here: www.nationalhealthcaredecisionsday.org.
The hospitals will also be using a legal document tool for Advance Directives called FIVE WISHES from Aging with Dignity www.agingwithdignity.org. It provides a language and context for persons exploring this topic.
