The Village of Hoffman Estates will be accepting household items for recycling on Saturday, Aug. 21, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Bring your old electronics and latex paint to the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center located at 2305 Pembroke Ave. This program is available to Hoffman Estates residents only, and proof of residency is required. Please note that there will be a charge for latex paint recycling. Charges are $1 per quart container, $2 per gallon container and $5 per five-gallon container.
