Children ages six to 15 are invited to "Build a Birdhouse," sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Environmental Commission. Each child will also be able to take home the birdhouse he or she builds. The event if free and open to the public. Materials will be supplied by the Hoffman Estates Environmental Commission. However, a medium Phillips-head screwdriver will be required.

The class will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave. Participation is limited to the first 35 children registered. Advance reservations are required. To register, call 847-490-6800.
