The city of Evanston is hosting a free computer and electronics recycling event on Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at James Park, 300 Dodge Ave., in Evanston.
Only residentially-generated equipment will be accepted at this collection. Items accepted include: computers, printers, office equipment, telephones, entertainment and visual equipment, TVs, DVD players, stereo equipment, cameras, and microwaves. Do NOT bring batteries, light bulbs, humidifiers, large home appliances, software, CDs or DVDs, chemicals, scrap metal, or tires.
CRT Processing, LLC., will recycle all computer/electronic materials in an environmentally responsible manner at its Janesville, Wisc., facility.
