The Village of Hoffman Estates Sister Cities Commission invites you to attend a program featuring Martina Mathisen’s presentation of Marie Antoinette. Ms. Mathisen brings to life the famous French Queen, who reigned as Queen from 1774 to 1792 as the wife of King Louis XVI, and the Palace of Versailles was her royal home. The Queen of France comes to visit Hoffman Estates to talk about her life, loves, and intrigues. History comes to life in the character of Marie Antoinette who engages the audience with a costumed first- person narrative for an interactive presentation. Dramatist, Martina Mathisen, will reveal the truth behind this very much misunderstood queen, from a teen bride enveloped in pure opulence to the most hated woman in France.  Reservations are required, call 847-781-2606 to reserve your seat.
