The in-person MLK Jr. breakfast that was originally scheduled to take place at the Village Hall has been canceled due to COVID.  There will be, however, a live virtual program during that time to celebrate his life. The Cultural Awareness Commission will broadcast a live virtual celebration on HETV Channel 6 if you have Comcast and Channel 99 if you have a Dish.  The theme of this year’s event is “Are We the Dream of Dr. King Jr.,” presented by Mr. Rick Lockhart. Don't miss this special remembrance of Dr. King. Our entertainer will be singer Char McAllister of CHARdreams.

In keeping this day of service in mind, the Village will be collecting non-perishable canned goods, new hats and gloves, and/or toiletries for community food pantries and shelters. Community members may donate these items Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. The collection will run through the winter.
