The Village of Hoffman Estates invites residents and veterans of the Armed Services to attend this year’s Memorial Day observance, Monday, May 29 at 10 a.m. The event is being held jointly with the Village of Schaumburg.

The observation will begin with a brief ceremony at the Hoffman Estates Veterans’ Memorial, followed by a 10:45 a.m. observance at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Schaumburg. Immediately following the Schaumburg event, there will be a picnic for all guests in the St. Peter picnic grove. Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod, Schaumburg Mayor Al Larson, police, fire, and local veterans will be present to help pay tribute.

The Hoffman Estates Veterans’ Memorial is located outside the Police Department, at 411 W. Higgins Road. St. Peter Lutheran Church is located at 202 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg.
