Tish Robinson, renowned expert on French art and culture, brings to life the inspiration behind the iconic paintings of the Impressionist Masters: Monet, Manet and Renoir. Their paintings all feature familiar images of beautiful young women bathed in sunlight and shadow and depicted in public and private settings in Paris and the surrounding countryside. Who were these women? What was their relationship with the artists? Where lies the truth behind these almost-mythical creatures? Their fascinating and often poignant tales as models, mistresses, and muses will be brought to life, illustrated by these legendary artists.
