The Youth Commission presents the next step in computer animation classes for children of Hoffman Estates residents ages seven to 13. Both take place on Saturday, Oct. 24. The first (beginner/introductory) session begins at 9 a.m., and the second session (3D/advanced) begins at 11 a.m.
Classes are at the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Registration is required as space is limited to 10 students per session but more students can participate if they bring their own laptop. To reserve a spot in either or both classes, call 847-781-4866 or email monica.saavedra@hoffmanstates.org.
A parent or guardian is required throughout the duration of the class. Light refreshments will be served. Project Alice was created at Carnegie Mellon University to easily teach basic programming concepts to young children in a fun way. More information of Project Alice can be found at www.alice.org.
