Reenactors from the 8th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Cavalry will be encamped on the lawn at the Sunderlage Farmhouse, 1775 Vista Lane, on Sunday, July 26, from noon to 4 p.m. These Civil War enthusiasts will interpret camp life and display equipment of Union cavalry soldiers. This free event is sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Historical Sites Commission and the Hoffman Estates Museum. The Kishwaukee Ramblers will provide music, and the Schaumburg Township Historical Society will offer ice cream and tours of the historic Sunderlage Farmhouse. Parking will be allowed on Volid Lane.
