In an effort to bring local families even more opportunities to enjoy during the Fourth of July celebration at the Northwest Fourth-Fest, the Village of Hoffman Estates has designated Sunday, July 5, as Family Fun Day. This will be a special day dedicated to you and your kids.

The day is highlighted by performances from Ralph Covert of Ralph's World, the world renowned children's entertainer, and the equally popular Jesse White Tumblers. Ralph performs at 2 p.m. The Jesse White Tumblers preform at 1 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.

In addition, we have many other family-friendly attractions, including face painting; balloon animals; a water balloon toss contest; an exotic animal exhibit; a free, high-flying zip-line ride; a rock-climbing wall; pony rides; and much more, along with our fabulous carnival and delicious food and dessert offerings.

There will also be a Golf Ball Drop Raffle at 3 p.m. For $10 a ball, you have a chance to win 20 percent of the total entry fees collected. For example, if 1,000 people participate, you could win $2,000! The balance of the proceeds will be used to purchase safety equipment (turnout gear) for Hoffman Estates firefighters.
