On Thursday, Feb. 12, the Citizens Utility Board will help Hoffman Estates households get to the bottom of electricity, phone and gas bills. There will be two sessions available -- the first will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the second will take place from 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Both sessions are by appointment only, and will held be at the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Reviewing your utility bill with a professional can help reduce costs and help clarify what services you are receiving. Register by phone at 312-263-7872, and provide your name, phone number, event name ("Hoffman Estates Utility Bill Clinic") as well as the timeslot you're interested in. The Citizens Utility Board is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy group that provides consumer education and assistance. Visit www.hoffmanestates.org/sc to see a video of their December 2014 utility bill presentation.
