On Oct. 1, 2014, a low-cost rabies vaccine and microchip clinic will be offered for dogs, cats and ferrets by Schaumburg Township Clerk Timothy M. Heneghan, Highway Commissioner Scott M. Kegarise, Cook County Commissioner (15th District) Timothy O. Schneider, in partnership with the Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control and Board of Cook County Commissioners President Toni Preckwinkle.
The low-cost fee for a one-year rabies vaccine is $7, a three-year rabies vaccine is $21 and microchip identification is $10. Payment must be made in cash or check. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted. Mobile clinic services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
