Join the Public Works Department on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Avenue, for a free Open House. Get a close-up look at the equipment Public Works uses on a daily basis! An arborist will be available to answer questions about the Emerald Ash Borer. Personnel will also be available to address concerns regarding the Village's water and sewer system.
Kids in attendance can receive a personalized sign from our sign shop. Other activities include a climbing wall and an opportunity to take a ride in a real snow plow truck. Each child will also receive one entry for a chance to ride on a Public Works vehicle in next year's Fourth of July parade.
Help "Load the Loader" by bringing a donation of nonperishable canned goods to help replenish area township food pantries. All donations will receive an additional door prize entry.
School groups, scout groups and other children, accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP for larger groups. For more information, call the Public Works Department at 847-490-6800.
