The second annual Shootz & Ladderz Softball Fundraiser: HEPD vs. HEFD, sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (HECPAAA), will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 (rain date: Oct. 4) at noon. Come out and watch your local police officers battle firefighters on the diamond for bragging rights at Cannon Crossings, 1675 Nicholson Drive. There will be raffles with prices, commemorative T-shirts for sale, food and beverages for sale and kids games.
