Hispanic Heritage Day Fiesta
The Cultural Awareness Commission is proud to celebrate the community's diverse culture by sponsoring a Hispanic Heritage Day Fiesta on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Enjoy an afternoon of the sights, sounds and tastes of Hispanic culture. Activities include Latin dance representing Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina and Mexico; food; light refreshments; arts and crafts; and, of course, the popular piñata. Featured speaker Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz is successful entrepreneur, award-winning author, national speaker and two-time cancer survivor. She is a true believer in the power of self, and is passionate about helping others find their own strength. Jaqueline will talk about "Making a difference through Servant Leadership."
