The Village of Hoffman Estates is hosting a large, one-day electronics recycling event. This free collection takes place on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2601 Pratum Ave. This is the old fire station building at the corner of Pratum Avenue and Prairie Stone Parkway in the western part of Hoffman Estates.
There is no cost to attend. The event is for Hoffman Estates residents only, and proof of residency is required. Simply drive to the building (follow the signs), and workers will unload the old electronics from your car. Materials from businesses, institutions or schools will not be accepted.
Many electronic items will be accepted, including:
- Computers and computer equipment/components (e.g., monitors, hard drives, printers, scanners, keyboards, modems, cables, etc.)
- Office equipment and products (e.g., telephones, cell phones, PDAs, fax machines, copy machines, shredders, typewriters, calculators, etc.)
