To limit loss of life, injury and property damage to the citizens of Hoffman Estates by providing the best fire protection, advanced life support and emergency services in the most cost-effective manner.

Our Department serves the Village of Hoffman Estates and a small portion of the Village of South Barrington. The Department currently employs 97 full-time personnel, 90 of whom are assigned to one of our four fire stations. On a daily basis, there is a minimum of 23 firefighters on-duty to provide immediate response to fire, rescue and emergency medical incidents.

There are many services we provide, all of which center on making the community a safe place to live, work and play.
