Prairie Creek

The proposed Prairie Creek Amphitheater is a new outdoor facility (seating 9,000) and will be located within the Prairie Stone Development in Hoffman Estates, within view of the site of one of the country’s most successful amphitheaters, Poplar Creek, which closed in 1995. What makes Prairie Creek different is that its capacity will be approximately one-third the size of Poplar Creek, but it will share the same positive memories which are imprinted in many people’s minds.

The current plans were designed to create an environment that accomplishes six basic goals: (1) desirable location of the venue; (2) ample and easy ingress and egress to parking; (3) good sound and viewing sightlines; (4) abundant space to congregate within the venue; (5) a varied selection of good food and beverage; and (6) no waiting in long lines for concessions and washrooms.
